Mersey Developments design and build limited

"Jay came to our rescue after we were previously let down by another builder, and he and his team have recently completed a fantastic loft dormer bedroom and bathroom for us. The project was managed professionally from the very first visit through to completion, with great communication throughout. If you have a question at any stage, Jay replies almost straight away. He has a very organised and disciplined way of working, always letting you know what’s happening each week. His team were respectful to both us and our neighbours, cleaning up and keeping the site tidy every day — even taking their shoes off when they needed to come inside. Everything came within the quoted cost too, so there were no silly surprises. The whole job was completed within the timeframe Jay originally gave us. Finishing such a major project in just 6 weeks is a real credit to him and his team, especially without cutting any corners. I’d highly recommend Mersey Developments for any building project, and we’d definitely use them again in the future. This loft conversion has given our family the extra space we really needed. Thanks again to Jay and the team!"

"We had an outstanding experience with Mersey Developments Design and Build Limited from start to finish. Their team was professional, transparent, and incredibly well-organised throughout our home extension project. Communication was clear at every stage, and the quality of workmanship exceeded our expectations. They delivered on time and within budget, which is rare in this industry. Highly recommended!"

"We had our loft conversion completed at the start of this year by Mersey Developments, and we honestly couldn't be happier with the result. A huge thank you to Jay and the whole team — every single one of them was fantastic throughout the entire build. The lads were professional, hardworking, and maintained excellent communication at every stage. Special thanks to Jay, Michael, Chris, Lee, and many others who played a part. Even our neighbours commented on how respectful and considerate they were, which speaks volumes. They made what we thought would be a stressful process feel seamless and manageable. The attention to detail and the quality of the finish is nothing short of perfect — we genuinely couldn’t be more pleased with our new loft space. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mersey Developments to anyone looking for a five-star service and finish. In fact, we’re already starting plans to extend our kitchen and look forward to working with them again in 2026!"

"Choosing a builder to complete work on your home is a big deal ... It's your home... But after seeing the work Jay and his team completed on my parents bungalow dorma extension a few years ago it was a no brainer to go to Mersey Developments. The care and professional approach they take when working on your home is second to none. We wanted someone we could trust to work with us for a complex garden room needing to make sure we utilized a very awkward shaped area so that we didn't lose any valuable garden space. Our budget was tight and Jay worked really hard with us so we could maximize the space we had and made sure we didn't have to compromise on quality. The teams attention to detail and practical ideas has resulted in the end product far surpassing our dreams and expectations, and is something that looks amazing at the bottom of our garden. We now look forward to using this room all year round and for many many years to come. The team are considerate whilst on the property and made sure that each day the build site was left tidy and safe incase we needed to be in the garden with the kids. I had no hesitation about leaving them to get on with the job whilst I got on with my day to day routine. Thank you again!"

"From start to finish I have been extremely happy with Jay and the team. Communication was key and I was kept informed of how the build was going day to day and what trades would be coming on which dates. The team are hardworking, honest and easy to get along with and most importantly stick to dates and times and stay on the job until it’s finished. I’ve had experiences of builders were they don’t show up or when they do, stay for an hour with the excuse of going to see a supplier and don’t come back for a few days - thankfully this doesn’t happen at this company. Quality work with a professional approach - thank you."
